Having expedited the process,
the Telangana State BC Welfare department has already zeroed on locations for
establishing these new schools. 119 New BC Gurukula List “Locations have been identified and the State
government has given its consent. Soon the process for identifying buildings
and infrastructure will start and the schools will commence from the next
academic year,” said a senior official of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Telangana
Backward Classes Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society.
119 New Bc Gurukula
In 2017, the
government has issued orders setting up 119 BC Welfare Schools one in each of
the Assembly constituency across the State. Within 40 days, the officials of
the Society had located the buildings and commenced the classwork from the June
2017. These schools in the sprawling campuses are not just providing quality
education on par with the international and corporate schools but also giving
foundation courses for various competitive examinations.
With their success, there has
been a huge demand from the parents for more such schools. The government has
accordingly sanctioned 119 more BC Welfare Schools this year. Once the new
schools are added, the total number of BC Welfare Schools would go up to 261
from the academic year 2019-20. Of the total 142 existing schools, 69 are for boys
and 73 for girls providing quality English medium education.
The new addition will also see
each constituency having two BC Welfare Schools, one for boys and another for
girls. “A school for girls will come up in a constituency which has a boys
school and vice versa,” the official said.
Admission to these schools will
be through a common entrance test to be held for all welfare residential
schools functioning under various societies in the State. For effective the functioning of the new schools, the BC Welfare department has proposed as many
as 4,150 teaching and non-teaching posts and the proposal is said to be with
the finance department and a nod is expected soon
